Everything went great today - cervix still measuring long and closed. I do have a touch of placenta previa (one of the babies placentas is sitting on my cervix) and was put on pelvic rest. This issue should resolve on it's on and not cause any further problems.
Other than that they look great - next appointment will be on March 13th for our anatomy scan. That will be a nice long appointment. :)

17 weeks (as of yesterday)
How Far Along: 17 weeks as of yesterday!
Total Weight
Gain/Loss: I think around 5
pounds but I lost ten so I’m still under.
It’s probably about the same – I don’t weight myself at home.
Maternity Clothes: Loving my maternity clothes. Waiting for the
weather to get warmer so I can wear some of the skirts and stuff I bought. I
still need some shirts but I’m definitely loving the maternity
clothes. And I’m looking forward to flip flops. J I
hate any uncomfortable shows right now and heels are OUT!!
Movement: Still not yet. I think I’m
feeling an occasional flutter but I’m not sure if it’s them or my imagination. There was one day last week that one of them
went exploring and caused Mommy a pain in the side. I gave the little one a nudge to return to it’s
original spot.
Sleep: I’m sleeping pretty well. Still getting
up to pee - not a shock. My hips still bother me if I lay on one side
for too long.
Gender: We have a guess but we are waiting until we
know for sure before we announce. Hoping
to get confirmation in the next week or two.
Symptoms: Fatigue, round ligament pain/cramping,
stuffiness, trouble sleeping and hip pain.
Cravings: Not as hungry this week. Not sure why…
Freak-out of the Week: Upcoming appointment – and actually a
little less cramping the last two days.
Looking
Forward To: Confirming the gender and registering for stuff.
Next Appointment: February 27th with MFM
for another cervical check and a peek at the babies. Hoping to
confirm what they are in terms of gender.
Miscellaneous: Feeling pretty good. Not worried about any genetic stuff. We are just taking that as it comes. If one of our ultrasounds in the future show cause for concern then we will decide what to do at that time. Otherwise…no worries about that! Doesn’t mean I don’t’ worry about everything else though!! Todd is very confident that everything is going to be fine, so when I feel down he picks me back up. That’s why I know I picked the right guy.
16 weeks – babies now measure about 5 ounces (about the weight of a turnip) and are
about 5 inches from head to butt (about the size of a large onion).

Test results...sort of...Part 2
So my genetic counselor called today and advised that test number two also came back inconclusive...
Seriously??!!??
The company did not recommend doing a third test...
No shit...
So the plan is to wait until our big detailed anatomy scan on March 6th and see if any physical markers are present...enough to warrant an amnio.
We are certain it's nothing. Even the counselor today today us it's likely a placental issue...not sure exactly what that will mean for us, but we are not going to let these inconclusive results bring us down or make us worry. It's not worth the extra stress.
Thanks for all the positive thoughts and prayers!!

16 Weeks...Every Day is a Milestone

Sleep: I’m sleeping pretty well. Still getting up to
pee - not a shock. Last night I got up
FIVE times to pee! CRAZY!! My hips are starting to hurt from side
sleeping. I try and switch sides but it’s
getting harder to flip around in bed already.
Gender: We have a guess but we are waiting until we
know for sure before we announce.
Symptoms: Fatigue, round ligament pain/cramping, stuffiness,
trouble sleeping and hip pain.
Cravings: Pickles…still. Otherwise carbs. And sweets…
Freak-out of the Week: Hitting the 16 weeks mark…
Looking Forward To: Getting our blood test results and every day
that passes.
Next Appointment: February 27th with MFM for another
cervical check and a peek at the babies.
They looked great last week and we are hoping to confirm the gender for
sure.
Miscellaneous: Feeling pretty good. Lots of cramping the last couple of days – I think they are having a growth spurt. I made it to 16 weeks finally. At this time last pregnancy we were confirming that we couldn’t continue and preparing to head in to the hospital for induction so to be sitting here and everyone be in good health is a blessing as is every day that passes. I will feel better with every milestone that we reach and right now every day is a milestone.

now measure about 4 1/2 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 3
1/2 ounces (about the size of an avocado).
I also took some belly shots this morning at 16 weeks.

More updates!!
So yesterday we had our first cervical check with MFM. I was SO nervous something was going to be wrong.
The ultrasound tech could not have been nicer! She checked the cervix which I am happy to say was 4cm which is nice and long and closed up tight. If it drops below 2.5cm then that is when they start to worry so I am in the good there.
We took a look at the babies. They were bouncing around and looked great! Strong heartbeats and getting do big! It had been 3 weeks since I had seen them and 5 since Todd had seen them so it was awesome.
The tech did take a peek at their genders but they aren't 100% yet so we are waiting to announce once they get a better look. She gave one an 80% certainty but the other she was on the fence so for now we will keep waiting until it becomes clear.
Today was my OB appointment. I love Dr. York. Always willing to listen and be supportive. We checked my BP which was 136/78, We did it manually again so there was no confusion. We took a listen to the heartbeats which he said were both in the 150s. He also measured me and said that I was already measuring 19 weeks and I'm only 15 weeks and 3 days so that was good. Based on the ultrasound the day before and my cervix looking great, my stable blood pressure and the fact I passed my one hour glucose test he doesn't want to see me for FOUR WEEKS!!! He's obviously confident that everything is going well.
We decided not to do the amnio and to just repeat the MaterniT21 test at this time. We have plenty of time for further tests if necessary. So once I get the results I am to let Dr. York know how they turned out.
I have no appointments next week at all!! WOW!! After that I have ultrasounds with MFM every week for the next 3 weeks. Two cervical checks and our big anatomy scan. Hoping that I have the MaterniT21 results by the 27th. That will be two weeks since the blood draw (which I did yesterday) but it took 3 weeks last time so who knows...LOL!!
Otherwise, we are staying positive and happy for all the wonderful news thus far!!

Test Results...Sort of...Not Really...
I finally got a call from the genetic counselor. The lab has told them that there was not enough fetal DNA present to come to any conclusions...they are offering a free retest...gee...thanks...
So tomorrow I will give two more vials of blood. Todd and I are considering going ahead and doing amniocentisis just to get this over with. What if the blood test comes back inconclusive again? I'm not willing to take that chance...I'll do it again because it's free and then do the amnio too so that way I know for sure.
What a flippin' rollercoaster!!

15 weeks!!
How Far Along: 15 weeks!!
Total Weight
Gain/Loss: I think around 5
pounds but I lost ten so I’m still under.
Maternity Clothes: Loving my maternity clothes. Waiting for the weather to get warmer so I
can wear some of the skirts and stuff I bought.
I still need some shirts but I’m definitely loving the maternity
clothes.
Movement: Still not yet.
Sleep: I’m sleeping pretty well. Still getting up to
pee - not a shock...a little trouble falling asleep.
Gender: No idea, but we are working on names for all
situations.
Symptoms: Fatigue, round ligament pain/cramping,
stuffiness, a little completely unrelated my ankle got all tweaked this weekend
and it’s still bothering me. Not sure
what I did with it. Oh and my hearing is
getting worse. Could be tissues swelling
causing it, but I know I definitely need to get this taken care of ASAP.
Cravings: Pickles…still. Otherwise carbs. I devoured a French baguette with
butter. So good.
Freak-out of the Week: Still waiting for the results of my blood
test...I was told Tuesday at the earliest.
Looking Forward To: The test results and finding out what we are
having!
Miscellaneous: Feeling pretty good.
Still nervous as 16 weeks approaches.
But I’ll feel better after my appointment on Wednesday when they take a
look at everything and tell me if anything looks like it’s going wrong. I’ll be going for these checks every two
weeks for a while so it will tell me if the amniotic fluid looks good and if my
cervix is closed nice and tight.
15 weeks – babies now measure about 4 inches long,
crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an
apple).

14 Weeks!
How Far Along: 14 weeks today!! Hello second trimester!! At this point they say the chance of miscarriage goes WAY down...
Total Weight Gain/Loss: No clue – I only weigh
myself at the doctor! J
Maternity Clothes: Today I have on a dress so that makes it easy - I received most of my maternity clothes in the mail and some are still big so I have to use a belly band with them until my belly gets bigger.
Sleep: I’m sleeping pretty well. Still getting up to pee - not a shock...
Gender: No idea, but we are working on names for
all situations.
Symptoms: Fatigue, round ligament
pain/cramping, stuffiness, a little rosacea going on.
Cravings: Pickles…everytime Todd eats one and I can
smell it I have to have it… Sweets...it's awful. I'm also having my first cup of coffee in months. Hazelnut decaf...it's finally okay tasting - before it was gross...
Freak-out of the Week: Still waiting for the results of me blood test...
Looking Forward To: The test results and finding
out what we are having!
Next Appointment: BP check on 2/7 at 9am and also doing my one hour glucose tolerance test.
Miscellaneous: Anxious...The closer I get to 16 weeks the more nervous I am. I think I am in need of an ultrasound. That will make me feel better. Just seeing them on the screen gives me a calming feeling. I'm only two weeks away now and it's making me crazy! I wish I could just fast forward to when I have them in my arms!
This week we are the size of lemons!!!
